Tactical Athlete Fundamentals

Advanced skills are the basics mastered. Tactical Athlete Fundamentals is specifically designed to build the basics of strength and conditioning training. This cycle has a strong emphasis on teaching correct movement mechanics and building a strong foundation from which further training can be built upon. This confidence in your training will allow you to progress uninterrupted into other programmes and external roles.

The programme builds volume gradually to allow the body time to adapt to each stimulus. It also contains elements of short to long stamina based workouts as well as strongman type sessions that are designed to get your body conditioned to the rigours of our professions.

This is the programme to train if you are; new to strength and conditioning programming, returning from injury or currently experiencing issues regarding unresolved repetitive injuries.

This cycle runs 6 days per week and has approximately a 50/50 split of strength to conditioning sessions. Alongside improving mobility in joints and movement awareness in order to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injury. This also empowers our athletes with an understanding of how the body recovers from different stimuli.

Upon completion of Tactical Athlete Fundamentals we recommend transitioning to either our Tactical Athlete Strength or Tactical Athlete Conditioning training cycle.

Primary:
Develop correct movement patterns in squats, hip hinging, push, pulls, rotations and unilateral movements
Increase multiple facets of strength
Improve aerobic and anaerobic conditioning levels

Secondary:
Gradual increase of volume to mitigate injury
Improve movement awareness in our tactical athletes

Tertiary:
Decrease recovery time
Improve body composition

Training App

Our training app allows you to access our training and philosophy anywhere, on any device, with ‘how to videos’ and performance tracking.

Use the app to log each session, record mental notes and meditations then view your progress.

Coach Instruction

View ‘how to video’ to learn individual movements. Watch ‘Intention” videos to understand the how and why of training.

Running this programme helped me build my strength back after having a bad run of injuries and was really enjoyable to do in a less busy period of work. I would recommend it to those who want to rehab injuries and build more strength, but who also need that performance on demand, rather than just to be all show, no go.
